"Stately Giant" Cache Traditional Geocache
OverTheHill Duo: The "Stately Giant" will continue to remain in the woods, but the cache by this name has decided to retire. From the number of log entries and comments, it appears that many folks have enjoyed this trail and finding the cache. We had fun!

Located in Winton Woods Park along the Great Oaks Trail.
Take a break, go to the park and enjoy a hike along the Great Oaks Trail. This trail has some moderately steep steps leading down to a peaceful flowing creek; a very nice setting, particularly in the early morning. After following the creek for awhile, the trail starts to make its way back uphill. There may be some wet areas. The Park District has rated this 0.7 mile trail Moderate/4. The cache you are looking for is an ammo box. Please be very discrete on this open, and popular trail. When placed, the cache contained: log book & pen, pencils, baseball, deck cards, keychain flashlight, shoe laces, golf ball, misc. toys, fishing float, lightstick, and a Delta Queen Steamboatin' coin. HCPD permit is on file.
Please note that the cache was moved, 5/13/04, from its original hiding place. Not far! The above coordinates have been tuned for the new position.
