Years ago, Sackville street in Shediac continued into the woods for
a few miles and came to the Pellerin Farm. Many old tracks in the
area lead us to believe that the road might have ended up in
Sackville.
Today Sackville Street is confined to the town limits and ends
at the four lane highway (Highway 15). On the other side of the
highway, the rest of the street is a dirt road now called Ch des
Pellerins Rd.
We hid the small tobacco container cache a short distance down
this road. The cache contains a few trading items, a log book, a
pencil and a sharpener.
The road can be accessed from Lino Road, the dirt road which
parallels Highway 15 between the two Shediac exits. You can get to
Lino road at the Parlee Beach Exit.
Locals drive the Pellerins road year round but it may be
difficult to do in the spring. It may be best to park at the start
of the road and walk down to the cache.
