Come by at high noon (12:00pm) to meet other cachers working towards the 6th annual 2018 Battle Ground Geocoin.
Who doesn't love the circus? The high wire acts, the elephants, the clowns, daredevil riding, sideshows, and many other events have entertained kids and adults alike through the ages. We are intending to use the circus theme in some traditional caches around Battle Ground (and perhaps a couple of bonus mystery/multi caches). We won't have any circus events to take part in at the event (except for a little clowning around, of course) but there will be loads of fun for the rest of the day. This event will be from 12:00 to 12:30 pm.
At this event more details will be provided for those wanting to qualify to receive the 2018 Battle Ground Geocoin. There are a limited number of trackable geocoins available to those that complete the challenge, so by attending this event, you will greatly improve your chance to earn the coin.
The rules for the challenge:
- The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to modify the rules at any time and for any reason. It is suggested that until you have this page on your watch list to keep updated on any changes.
- There is a limit of one Geocoin per geocaching family.
- The standard rules and disclaimers that apply to all geocaches apply to this challenge.
- You must find and log on geocaching.com and enter the circus skill code word on your registration card a minimum of 6 of the 8 qualifying caches and plus 2 more geocaches of your choice from the Battle Ground area. The list of the 8 qualifying caches will be in a file on each of the cache pages and on this event page.
- Your qualifying caches have to be found within 30 days of requesting your Geocoin from the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce.
- To claim your Geocoin, turn in your completed registration card to the Battle Ground Best Western at 1419 W Main St.
