Lake Renwick covers 220 acres and provides opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. The lake is fed by the Tongue river and bordered on one end by the Renwick Dam, originally completed in 1962 and since renovated. The lake is stocked with walleye, crappie, perch, and northern pike. A swimming beach is located near the camping area and is accessable via road or by taking this short trail from the campground.
Parking is available at the Pioneer Heritage Center, as well as at the beach and in the campgrounds. To visit the park, about 5 1/2 miles west of Cavalier, and to access the geocache, a daily pass, annual pass, or NENDHA membership is required and available for purchase upon entry to Icelandic State Park.
