Sunset is 18.13hrs.

Please park sensibly and respect local residents. Thank you.

If it rains or it's cloudy, we will still be in attendance.

Soltsices

A solstice is an astronomical event that happens twice each year when the Sun reaches its highest position in the sky as seen from the North or South Pole. The word solstice is derived from the Latin sol (sun) and sister (to stand still).

The day of the solstice is either the "longest day of the year" (in summer) or the "shortest day of the year" (in winter) for any place on Earth, because the length of time between sunrise and sunset on that day is the yearly maximum or minimum for that place.

Equinoxes

An equinox occurs twice a year (around 20 March and 22 September), when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the centre of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth's equator.

The name "equinox" is derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, the night and day have approximately equal length.

When is the Longest Day / Summer Solstice?

The longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere occurs around the 20th/21st of June each year.

When is the Shortest Day / Winter Solstice?

The shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere occurs around the 21st/22nd of December each year.

When is the date of the Equinoxes?

The Equinoxes are when the length of the day and night are almost equal. The Spring Equinox on the Northern Hemisphere occurs around the 20th of March each year. The Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere occurs around the 22nd/23rd September each year
