Ta multi-geocache vas popelje na Pohorje. Izhodisce so koordinate N46°30.955 E15°34.722. Od tu nadaljujete pot proti cerkvici sv. Bolfenka na Pohorju (N46°30.949 E15°34.606).
Cerkev sv. Bolfenka na Pohorju je dozivela skozi stoletja mnogo sprememb. V njeni neposredni blizini je tekla ob gorskem hrbtu ze prazgodovinska pot, kar dokazujejo gomile, postelski okopi, pohorska livarna in druge najdbe do sv. Areha.
Danasnja cerkev je bila zgrajena leta 1501 na mestu, kjer je pred tem zelo verjetno ze stala manjsa kapela. Prvi pisni dokumenti o zacetku gradnje objekta na tem mestu sodijo namrec v leto 1291. Cerkev je zgradil
Wolfgang Herzenskraft Limbuski v takrat znacilnem nemskem poznogotskem stilu. Po reformah Jozefa II. leta 1785 je bila opuscena, del notranje opreme pa prenesen v okoliske cerkve. Leta 1856, ko je bila zgradba ze v zelo slabem stanju, je postala last takratnega mariborskega zupana in notarja Otmarja Reiserja. Ta jo je pricel pet let zatem (1861) prenavljati. Na severno steno stolpa so namestili razgledni balkon (mostovz), ki je bil pred tem del tedanje kavarne Pix v Mariboru. S prenovo je nadaljeval dr. Otmar Reiser ml., ki je zgradbo podedoval. Na prenovljeno streho stolpa je namestil pozlaceni glavic s krizem, ki ga je blagoslovil takratni skof Anton Martin Slomsek. Leta 1878 je v stavbi uredil stanovanje za logarja in sest sob za planince z vpisno knjigo. Zato lahko Bolfenk stejemo za najstarejso planinsko postojanko na Pohorju, ki je belezila 600 do 1000 obiskovalcev letno. Pozar je 29. marca 1950 stavbo unicil. Leta 1971 so delavci zavoda za spomenisko varstvo priceli z obnovo Bolfenka. Intenzivneje je sanacijo nadaljevala leta 1991 lastnica objekta Mestna obcina Maribor. Obnova je bila zakljucena in svecana otvoritev se je zgodila 29. marca leta 2000, natanko 50 let, odkar je Bolfenk pogorel.

Through the centuries the church of St. Bolfenk on Pohorje experienced many changes. In its immediate vicinity a prehistoric path ran along the mountain ridge proof being sepulchral mounds, Poštela ditches, Pohorje foundry and other things found enroute to St. Areh. Today's church was built in the year 1501 on the place where earlier almost certainly stood a smaller chapel. The first written documents about the beginning of construction of a building on this place namely date back to 1291. Wolfgang Herzenskraft Limbuski built the church in the then characteristic German late Gothic style. After the reforms of Jožef II In the year 1785 it was abandoned, some of the interior fittings were transferred to neighbouring churches. In 1856, when the building was already in a very poor state, it became the property of the then Maribor mayor and notary Otmar Reiser. Five years later he began renovating it. On the northern wall of the tower a viewing balcony (gallery) was placed, which prior to that was part of the then coffeehouse Pix in Maribor. Dr. Otmar Reiser Jr. who inherited the building, continued with the renovations. On the renewed roof of the tower he placed a gilded rod with a cross that was blessed by the then bishop Anton Slomšek. In 1878 the building was made into lodgings for a forester and six rooms for climbers complete with a register book. Consequently we can count Bolfenk as the oldest mountain hostel on Pohorje. It registered 600 to 1000 visitors annually. A fire that broke out on 29th March 1950 destroyed the building. In 1971 employees at the Institute for the Preservation of Monuments began renovation works. The renovation work continued more intensively in 1991 by the owners, the Municipality of Maribor. The renovations were completed and ceremoniously opened on 29th March 2000, exactly 50 years, after Bolfenk burnt down.
