Geocache Description:


This is the story of a living piece of history.
At the posted co-ordinates you will be standing at the Aleppo pine tree / Anzac tree.

Planted in the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Memorial Hospital grounds is an Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis). It descendant of a tree from the World War, I Lone Pine battlefield at Gallipoli, Turkey.
In 2003 a second Aleppo pine was planted near the consulting rooms in Turner St.

About 10m East you will find the Anzac Memorial sign. Look for LEGACY-LONE PINE HISTORY. Here you will be able find all information needed to answer the following questions.

The cache can be found about 200m away using your answers and the following formula. S37 AB.CDE and E144 FG.HJK
