This little creek is not named as far as I know. It is a small tributary of Dale Creek, so I am naming it Litlle Dale Creek.
The cache is hidden on state trust land. To get to the parking area from I-80, take Exit 329 and follow the signs to Ames Monument (worth checking out if you're already in the area). Before you get to the Monument, turn on Hermosa Road (CR-222). You can also get here from Highway 287 by turning onto CR-222 at Tie Siding. You will know where to park when you see two green gates and a State Trust Lands sign north of the road. The road is in good shape and should be accessible by all vehicles, but do take caution if there is snow on the ground.
This is a great place to take the dogs and let them run. It's also a nice place to sit and enjoy the quiet.
There is an unactivated coin for the first to find (congratulations wyosoldier!)- no need to trade for this item.
