Geocache Description:

Should be an easy park and grab.

The Sycamore at the old intersection of Two-Notch Road, so called because it was marked by two slash marks on trees between Camden and Augusta, and U. S. Highway 1, four miles east of Lexington. Here George Washington's coach broke down, and he chatted with local patriots who had taken part in the Battle of Tarrar's Spring, and fought in other battles under his kinsman William Washington. The original tree is gone, but a sycamore from a clipping of the original still marks the spot, and is known all over the county as The Sycamore Tree.

*** 12/29/07 Due to recent comments I will upgrade difficulty to a 2.5 - happy hunting!

***Congrats to Salutations and Pompiere for the FTF***
