The cache is located in the forest 60 meters from the hiking trail (volcano route GR131) to log in peace.
Der Cache liegt im Wald 60 Meter vom Wanderweg (Vulkanroute GR131) entfernt und 20 Höhenmeter, um hier in Ruhe loggen zu können.

Old Cachebox was lost by fire in August 2009. I brought the new Box to the same place in March 2010
You can reach it after a walk of some hundred meters from a parking place or, for example, in combination with the Cache "La Palma's First" (Volcano Tour, starting at "Refugio de El Pilar"). Some other nice trails around are possible.
To reach the parking place leave the mainroad LP 1 at N 28º 30.560 / W 017º 49.545 and follow the forest track for about 6 km. This forest track usually is in good condition to go by car, like the Palmeros do when going for a picknick near the parking place.

Small note on cache maintenance: I visit La Palma and the other Canary Island several times a year and have Spanish friends living there. My friends are not geocacher but know about it. I will take care for the cache and manage that my friends look for it, if there is a problem in a time of my absence.
