This cache has been archived.

DDTs: In line with our policy of not replacing this series, we are archiving this one - after due warning was given. The road being moved also means that it is no longer in the kind of location we would normally choose. Thanks to all finders.

Geocache Description:

Firstly, apologies to those who waited to no avail for 2007 Amongst the fir trees – we were selfishly busy getting organised for an excursion to South America and although it was packed we never got around to placing it!!

The 2008 cache is currently home to Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donna, Blitzen and a few others! However, they would love to be adopted and go and live with you instead – as it is Christmas swaps don’t need to be completely fair! Swaps also don’t need to be in theme, as the cache will hopefully remain beyond the festive season.

This is almost a driveby. That was not our original plan, but we managed to sort of walk around in a circle whilst placing it! If you would like a longer stroll through the firs, there is a sandy road shortly before you get to the area of the cache – however, be warned that the locals (or others) seem to regard it as a bit of a rubbish dump –a practice that unfortunately seems all too common amongst the fir trees in this area.

GPS s don’t really seem to like being under the fir trees, so you may want to watch out for the hint! Be warned again, some routes are easier terrain than others!
