Can’t recall where I first came across the intriguing photo called "Coin Toss" below (sure hope it wasn’t another geocache!), but it inspired me to share its special properties with our caching community. The posted coordinates are thematically relevant only.
Its intrigue takes the form of two completely different types of patterns – one pattern has a number of full or partial key components (call that number N) and the other pattern brings to mind a letter (call it L). Their sum is S and has a digital root of 4.
Using the photo as a guide to another key bit of information, determine the cache’s distance and units of distance from the posted coordinates by summing 535 X N dimes + 285 X L nickels + 196 X S pennies. Its bearing from there is 201.77 X S mils true.
The final digits of the North and West decimal minutes are 3 and 7 respectively, and the respective digital roots of the cache’s North and West full minutes are 9 and 2.
