Church Micro 2713...Pulloxhill
This cache has been placed to bring you to the church of St James the Apostle, Pulloxhill.
The cache is a 35mm film pot. It only contains a log - you are a geocacher, you should have a writing implement!
Please note that the final cache is located outside the churchyard.
The Church was dedicated in 1219, but the tower collapsed into the nave in 1653. Further ruination followed over the next two hundred or so years with the eventual collapse of the roof too. However in the 1840's th church was completely restored.
What I like most about this church is that for a small donation you can sponsor the floodlighting of the church tower on the evening of your choice to celebrate an occassion of your choosing. This seems a very quaint idea that appeals to me. More details are given on the church noticeboard, near the church road entrance.
Please take time to explore the peace and tranquility, but please be respectful in the church and its grounds.
To find the location of the final cache, you will need to find some information on the northern side of the church in close proximity to the porch. If you have read the listing and know what I like about the church you will find it easier to locate this information! CLASS A; IPBC; SON-T DEFW
