Cache is accessible on the Star Lake Trail in Star Lake, WI.
This cache is hidden in memory of our camping pal, Abbey the dog. We have been camping at Star Lake for over 10 years with our good friends, who always brought Abbey along to camp with us. One of our favorite memories with Abbey was when she decided to chase a black bear that was running through the woods in the East Star Lake Campground. The bear got away, and Abbey, rather proud of herself ran back to us. Sadly, Abbey passed away in the Fall of 2010. We will miss camping with her, and she will always be remembered through this cache.
You are sure to enjoy hiking on this beautiful trail. Inside this ammo box cache is a disposable camera. Please feel free to take a picture of yourself and then place it back into the box.
Preliminary approval was received via phone from Sonja M. of the WI DNR on 8-8-11. A Geocache Notification Form was submitted to the DNR on 8-15-11. Signed approval form was received from DNR on 8-22-11.
