Geocache Description:

This adventure is a multi-cache that requires about 5-7 miles to find all six waypoints. (Each waypoint is also a separate cache so you can log a find for each one.) The final cache is in an black plastic container (6 inch X 1 ft) and is located in Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, California. Entrance to the park is at N37° 33.330 W122° 04.065.

Cache is not located at the coordinates for this page.

Welcome to Tribal Montage. Your mission will be to find six of the puzzle pieces you see on this page containing portions of the real coordinates.

Once you have found all the pieces, you will have all the coordinates to the final cache spot. And as a plus, for every piece you find you get to log a cache!

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Print out this page showing the completed puzzle. You will need to refer to the blue puzzle picture above each time you find a puzzle piece. A larger printout of the puzzle is available. This size may be easier for you to write on.

2. Find the cache.

3. Open the cache.

When you open the cache container you will see a replica of one of the pieces of the puzzle you see on this page. The replica will be taped inside the cache. Please do NOT remove it.

4. Copy carefully the red number or numbers you see on the replica onto the corresponding puzzle piece of your print out. Also copy any red LINES that you may see.

Once you have found all the pieces and transferred the numbers and lines to your printout, you will be able to find the real cache.

The rest of the puzzle pieces are to be found at these caches:

Indian Mini-Montage 1

Indian Mini-Montage 2

Indian Mini-Montage 3

Indian Mini-Montage 4

Indian Mini-Montage 5

Indian Mini-Montage 6

Note: Even though these caches are numbered they are not to be found sequentially. Your best course is to plot them all on one map first then decide in what order you should find them.

ABOUT THE CACHE
Please replace the final cache so that it looks like “there is nothing in there.” You will see what I mean when you find it. If you shove it to the side and put some large rocks in front that should throw off future muggles. If you see any markers toss them aside. When I came here on April 8, 2004 someone had marked the spot with a pile of rocks and a stick. Maybe the ranger did that to keep an eye on it.

During the first week of April 2004 a family of muggles had discovered it and reported it to the ranger thinking it was a bomb, or drugs. The ranger came out and told them to back away while he opened it. Imagine his surprise when he opened it and it was filled with toys, including a big stuffed mouse with large ears. Anyway, he said to replace the ammo can with a plastic container (which I did.) He also said geocaches are OK to place in the park.

OTHER CACHES I HAVE HIDDEN

Ardenwood Scrabble (Fremont, Ardenwood Regional Park). This series is physically much LESS demanding but the hides are "challenging."

Goblet of Fire (Oakland) This multi-cache allows you to relive this favorite Harry Potter tale.
