Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Posted coordinates are bogus.
Solve the puzzle to determine the right coordinates.
Your mission is to identify the fifteen sound bites within
this sound clip and associate them with numbers that will form
the coordinate digits. Nothing escoteric, no math involved. All you
need is a good ear, and a good memory of some music (or access to
someone who does have these things.)
The cache container is an ammo can. At the time of placement it was
crammed full with:
- Fully functional Motorola Star-TAC cell phone, belt clip,
charger, car power cord and manuals. Comes complete with
instructions for getting it enabled on the Verizon network and a
Verizon Free-Up card worth $75 in air time. It's a pay-as-you-go
plan and I'm pretty sure sign-up is free. (Considered a FTF
item.)
- Fully functional Nokia 8260 cell phone, leather holster / belt
clip, charger, car power cord and manuals. For use on the AT&T
network, but I'm not sure they have a pay-as-you-go plan. (Optional
FTF or STF item.)
- A variety of pagers and other telephone related stuff, not
completly sure if they are functional or useable.
- Logbook, Geocaching note, and lots of pens.
You'll know you are at the right cache location if you understand
this 2-part sound clip.
When returning the cache to its hiding place, please cover it back
up with plenty of nearby camouflage.
Once the large FTF/STF items are gone, I'll probably turn the cache
into a music CD trading cache.
Update 7/11/04: I added hints & will add music to the cache
soon.
