Gilwell is the official Training/Scout Camping Centre for the Gauteng Province. For the past 88 years or more Scout Leaders and Scouts have been trained here and enjoyed good fun and comradeship, as Scouters will continue to do so in the future.
Whilst Gilwell is the official Adult Training Centre, Scouts and Cubs are welcome to camp here.
Gilwell Florida has had its share if important visitors during its history - H.R.H. The Prince of Wales, B.P. himself, Sir Alfred Pickford, John Thurman the Camp Chief of Gilwell Park, P. B. Neville, and many others, though most important of all have been the numerous Scouters, Scouts and Cubs who have camped there.
Where two different perimeter walls meet, you'll be able to peak over and see the lushious parade ground and forest type campsites.
