Eagle-cliff: a big cliff in the Pilis next to a burnt down fir forest
There is an interesting place in the Pilis mountains, a bare terrain that was planted by fir at about the 1960s. The forest later has burnt to ashes. Now it's replanted, the trees are about half meter heigh. The hills consist of rock, there was a huge work to make this place fertile by transporting soil onto the hills and planting black fir.
There is a yellow-red marked turist path coming from the Kopar Csarda (a restaurant) next to the Nr.10 main road.
If you come by car, you can leave it here.
The turist path goes near the cliff, but it only closes it, doesn't reach it. The cliff is on the other side of the hill, can't be seen from the path.
An unmarked smaller path goes to the Eagle-cliff through burnt and escaped parts of the hills. It connects at two points to the main turist path, at a rain-hause (N47° 37,964'; E018° 51,927'), and at a steep crossing (N47° 38,055'; E018° 51,846'). Through the paths there is nice view to these hills and to far villages, hills.
The cache is near the Eagle-cliff in the fir forest under a tree.
I wish good cache-hunting to everybody who comes here in this nice and interesting part of the Pilis mountains.
