Not far from Laem Sor Chedi you can find the way to Khao Phut. A remarkable place with a big golden Buddha statue, a white Chedi and a lot of smaller Buddha statues. The place seems to be hidden. The chedi contains relics of a famous monk in a leading position (ajarn) who belonged to the temple of Laem Sor.
You will find a few information in English and Thai language on a sign in that area. We have not found any information about that location in travel guides or electronic media. At present (March 2010) there s only one monk who lives on the mountain.
The monument of a chedi is named pagoda in Myammar and East Asia and stupa in India, Nepal and Tibet.
