This cache has been archived.

BriGuyNY: I don’t want to keep maintaining this one. Not a good spot to hide a cache. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

WELCOME TO THE OCATT!

'OCATT' stands for
Old
Croton
Aqueduct
Tribute
Trail

This is a tribute trail for all geocachers who live and/or geocache within the confines of Westchester County in the great state of New York! This series spans over 30 miles, from Croton’s Reservoir Dam to NYC’s High Bridge. Please read the following information to ensure a positive experience with your journey.

***************************************************************
All caches are accessible during any season and they are physically located along, but not on, the actual OCA.
***************************************************************
Each geocache in this series was placed with utmost respect to the OCA, nearby home owners, and the potential for muggles.
***************************************************************
The trail is generally a 1.5 (flat/unpaved) terrain, although the listed ratings are adjusted based on how difficult it will be once you break away from it.
***************************************************************
Should you journey the OCA in its entirety, you will be presented with a generous blend of rural, suburban, and urban developments.
***************************************************************
All containers, aside from a select few that happen to be custom fabrications, are micro test tubes. None are simply placed for all to see; every container has been handled with special care, hidden and camouflaged as a traditional geocache.
***************************************************************
If you are looking for a quick P&G numbers crunch like other mega-series runs, this isn't it.
***************************************************************
Should you find difficulty in your search, I have provided a hint to be used at your own discretion for each listing, although you are encouraged to do without it.
***************************************************************
To extract the log from each geocache container, you will need to use a pair of tweezers or needle-nose pliers.
***************************************************************
There may be thorns in some places, as well as the potential for ticks in a few others, so it is recommended to come prepared.
***************************************************************
Everything within the standard Groundspeak Disclaimer applies here.
***************************************************************
This is a very long trail with multiple parking options, so you are on your own for the most part. Depending on the listing I will do my best to advise where exactly to go, although the preferred option is to travel as much of it as you can without driving to each intersection.
***************************************************************
Be sure to check out other caches nearby this trail, as there are many that will be worth your while.
***************************************************************

GOOD LUCK

MUGGLES

Okay, so although there is no geocacher around this area called "MUGGLES" we all know of who is being referenced. They are the ones who don't know of geocaching and probably look at you funny for holding a "giant old school cell phone" while walking in circles picking things up off the ground. Sometimes they're tough to deal with, and other times they're nowhere to be seen. Whatever the case may be, this OCATT goes out to all the muggles, because geocaching would only be half as much fun and creative without them. Also due to muggles, you may want to bring a CITO bag with you as you seek this one out. Not to worry, it's in an obvious place. This one is for you, muggles of the world! Now quit looking at us while we sign the log, okay???
