Moronhattu on pieni siirtolohkale aivan valtatie 8:n lähellä laitilassa. Sen geologinen erikoisuus on "hattu", joka muodostuu rapautuneesta kivestä. Kivi on yksityisellä alueella, sen luokse ei johda kunnollista polkua, eikä sen lähellä ole tienvierustaa kummempaa pysäköintipaikkaa. Onneksi kivi on kuitenkin nähtävissä valtatieltä käsin, joten ei ole tarvettakaan päästä lähemmäksi.
Turvallisuussyistä kätkö on siirretty kauemmas valtatiestä. Kätkön lähellä on nyt myös turvallinen pysäköintipaikka.

Moronhattu is a small erratic boulder near highway 8 in Laitila. The geological speciality of the boulder is a "hat" that is formed by a disintegrating part of the stone. Moronhattu lies in private property, there is no decent pathway to it and there aren't any good parking places in the near vicinity other than on the side of the highway. Luckily the boulder can be seen from the road so there's no need to get any closer.
The hide has been moved to much safer place away from the road. There is a safe parking place nearby as well.
