Geocache Description:

Located in Wilson Woods, a county park in Mt. Vernon near the Pelham border and just off the Hutchinson River Parkway.

Container is a large plastic prescription medicine bottle. It is large enough that small items can be traded; there is a WG$1 for the FTF. A "micro" sized pen is provided to sign the log.

In this case "WWW" doesn't stand for "World Wide Web" but "Wilson Woods Waves". While it is a county park, there is no parking fee and the only thing you need a county park pass for is the pool. The pool is a "wave pool", there are large waterslides and artificial waves are created for the pool, it is very popular with kids!

There is also a large picnic area, a playground, nature trails, and a small pond. While there is very high muggle traffic in the playground and picnic area, the only muggle factor to look out for near the cache are people fishing by the pond. The pond is stocked with large catfish and other types of fish and the fishing is quite good. You can also sometimes see turtles come in and out of the pond and occasionally a rabbit or two may appear nearby.

Park at N 40 54.755' W 73 48.851'. The parking lot is in between the playground area and a dirt-packed nature trail that hugs the pond. Follow this trail to the cache; then continue on to see a nice waterfall.

For you benchmark hunters, unfound benchmark KU1703 link: (visit link) is nearby and easily accessible from the park.

Have fun and welcome!
