Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Great State of Tennessee... stop & refresh and consider yourself welcomed! This is a very popular location with lots of people, so please be discreet when you are cache hunting!

Here’s a great place to pull off the highway and take a rest, have a picnic, wet your whistle, water your lily, stretch your legs, walk the dog, feed the squirrels, go for a little hike, do a little bird watching, find a cache or two, or just sit and watch the big ol’ Tennessee River roll by. Covered pavillions, picnic tables, snack & drink machines, restrooms, water fountains, highway maps and area attraction brochures... what more could a traveler ask for?!

If you find a small Rubbermaid container with 'official geocache' label, you’ve probably found the cache! The original contents of this cache are: Log Book & pen, Children’s Harbor Mad Dasher rain poncho, multi-colored bean-bag bear, Re-Usable Hair & Body tatoos, Rocket Power stickers, Celite Systems stress-relief squeeze-house, purple Lobsterita beads, and official geocaching.com hat pin.

This cache is one of the fraternal triplet caches here on the Island. You might find a couple of the caches within hiking distance, but to log all three will take a drive of several miles, or a return trip through this part of the Volunteer State! The Island Welcome caches are placed with a nod to Ya All Come Back Now, Ya Hear! (GCCEF2) by Carolina Moon... another nifty place to sit a spell and take the load off on your travels through these parts.

Enjoy your visit... and Happy Caching!
