What an Excellent Adventure
Max and I work together; Max working in the Dublin office and me here. That has recently changed; Max has made the move to come and work here in Seattle! We both enjoy the outdoors and I introduced him to Geocaching earlier in the year when he and I went canoeing in Northern Ireland.
We both needed to be up in Vancouver this week. So I decided that on the way home, I would take him out into the Cascade wilderness just so he could get an idea of what a wonderful place Washington state really is.
We spent over 13 hours in the car driving all through the mountains. It really was an excellent adventure. I had a real sense of pride in my home state as I described the hiking locations, the various peaks that I knew and as we soaked in all the natural beauty of the area.
It was tough to pass by so many caches on our trek, but I wanted to cover a lot of ground. However, we did take time on this part of the trip to grab some of the beautiful caches that were around.
To commemorate our trip, we placed this cache on our way back down the mountain road. We hope you all have as much fun as Max and I did.
