This
was originally hidden by Andy and his son Austin of caching family
Augies. Sadly Andy passed away last year but his fellow
cachers have adopted his caches and are helping to continue his
geocaching legacy. Please take a moment to remember he
and his family as you enjoy hunting for a cache that they
placed for all of us.
This geocache was important
to my dad and I because after many geocache hunts together this was
the first cache that I found before my
dad.
Below is the original
geocache description by augies:
This is my 8
year old's first hide. It is a pretty easy one. Hope you
enjoy.
Cache is in a
rubbermaid type container with the typical trading goodies. This
area is seldom used so you shouldn't have anyone bothering you.
Keep an eye out for arrowheads in this part of Williams County.
Enjoy!
Parking is on
County Road Q-50, there is a little parking lot you can use.. Do
not drive back to the cache area
please.
The container is now a 6x6x2 plastic Lock & Lock painted
green. It's about a 1/4 mile walk from the parking lot and
when we replaced the cache in late June the grasses and weeds were
knee high the entire way so because of possible scratches and
ticks you may wish to wear long pants. Have a great time
!
