2000 Finds Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

bigdog421: It is with a heavy heart that I am now archiving this cache. It was a favorite of mine and my only challenge cache. I have not been able to maintain it. The current container (if it is even there) was the second or third iteration, the second being a replacement by boydfamily. I would not even know where to look at this point or if gz is accurate now. It has been so long since I have ventured out here, honestly 2009 when I placed it originally, and I am not close enough to give it the attention it needs. Based on the logs, I will be reaching out to at least one person who has DNF'd this recently to allow them to claim a find. If you previously visited and signed your name (and logged it with a note/DNF prior to today, post dated logs excluded), let me know if you ever do meet the requirements, and I will accept a found it log in the future, no time restriction. I will not be accepting any other found it logs from anyone who had this in their completed challenges but never physically visited the site. I hope to recreate this one when I reach my soon to be 9000th milestone, and I intend it to be a much more easy to get to location, though I would still prefer a park setting. I am so happy for the logs over the years and spin off challenges that this cache inspired (both of which that I know of, I still need to go out and find!).

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS VERY MUCH AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES!!!! You can find the cache...you can touch the cache...you can open the cache...BUT YOU CANNOT SIGN THE LOG until the requirements for theis challenge are fulfilled. Cache with confidence as Tim Carr, manager of the Caesar's Creek Region, has approved this cache.

The milestone of 2000 is a feat UNDER 200 people have reached in the state of Ohio. So why don't we create a cache that will help to boost that number even higher and congratulate those who have already reached this level. The pictures on this cache page are from my 2000th find in Michigan, Tamarack Cache (GCBA53)

These are the only RULES but they are VERY important:

1. AT THE END OF THIS CHALLENGE, you MUST have found 59 multis, 14 virtuals, 9 letterboxes, 6 events, 1 CITO, 172 mystery/unknowns, and 20 earthcaches. All these must be unique cache finds of course...i.e. no double logging any caches. Why these numbers? Those were the numbers that made up my 2000 finds (it doesn't add up as I did not include the temporary event caches I had logged). Also, I found 1,711 traditionals....that's seemed a bit much so traditionals will be LEFT OUT OF THE REQUIREMENTS <-------this means it is NOT NECESSARY to have found 2000 total caches to qualify for this challenge....just to be clear.

2. When you have completed the challenge, GO AND FIND IT

3. ONLY THEN CAN YOU SIGN THE LOG!!!!!

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE DIRECTIONS MAY RESULT IN A FOUND IT LOG DELETION AS YOU HAVE NOT PROVEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS. >

I hope you enjoy finding all these caches!!

Congratulations to Captainwilly for find #5900!!!
