This is my 2013 contribution to caches in Waterton Canyon.
This cache is hidden a ways past the big dam. There are several ways to get to the hiding spot once you get within a few hundred feet. You can make the approach really hard by taking the most direct route (45 degree incline?). Or, you can use a less direct but easier route. The route I ended up with did not require any significant bushwhacking or steep climbing. Your mileage may vary. Staying on the trail until the last minute is always a good idea. If you see any bighorn sheep in the area, please steer clear of them. Lots of sheep droppings in the area. I did not see any sheep when I hid this cache but they are common. This cache is not far from the trail that most people call the Roxborough Loop. Not many people go up this trail - people are usually coming down this trail. If you keep going, you can get to the Time Trial cache. I recommend a bicycle but not to get all the way to the Time Trail cache.
