One of the great things about Geocaching are the people we meet along the way. We have had the pleasure of meeting great cacher around the country and the world. One of the best ways to meet other cachers is at events. We weren’t sure we wanted to go to our 1st event (What would the people be like?). But quickly learned how special the other cachers are.
The Challenge is to attend events in at least 12 different States, Provinces or Countries. Events of any of the types listed on Geocaching count (Event, Mega, CITO, GIGA, Block Party etc.)
Note: Final cache is a P&G – Terrain rating is based on distance you must travel to capture these 12 caches.
For those folks who care about such things we have attended events in 37 States, plus 5 countries. *7/30/16 Update - We have now attended events in 42 States, plus 5 Countries
*7/28/18 update - We have now attended events in 48 States, 5 provinces, plus 9 countries
*1/28/20 update - We have now attended events in 50 States, 5 provinces, plus 13 countries
We don’t want anyone to strike out and DNF on the final after accomplishing the challenge. If you contact us when you are coming to attempt final, we can verify cache is present and maybe even join you to celebrate completing this difficult challenge.
