Geocache Description:

City: Milton

Big Blue is the highest point (outside of Mt. Cadillac in Bar Harbor, Maine) on the eastern seaboard of the USA. It is just outside and to the South of Boston. At the summit there are two towers. One is the oldest weather observatory in the US still in operation. http://www.bluehill.org/. The other is a general observation tower. The Blue Hills Reservation has many miles of hiking trails. The Cache is off one of them.

The cache is in an olive-drab, military ammo box. At the hiding spot there are literaly *dozens* of places it could be, but only one is the right one! I'm making this one a bit harder than my other Caches so no hints! (OK, Two hints .. one to help get there, the other to help find it .. see below) You'll have to do a bit of looking and a bit of hiking, but even on a winters day there were folks with children on the trails so it isn't *that* bad :-) Afterwards please replace it as you found it.

Note for winter hikers: When I left the Cache the trail was snow covered, but in many parts the snow had melted and then frozen to ice. This included the some of the steeper parts of the trail so be careful!

Have Fun
Richard
