The Veteran Memorial Park is a memorial where you can see the names of the soldiers from Jeffersonville.
Several communities were guinea pigs for the program that began mail delivery as we know it today. However, in 1913 the town of Jeffersonville was the smallest community to be chosen as the test site of an experimental program. Free mail delivery had come to town!
Also within sight of this cache is the Jeffersonville Fire Dept. Though not in it's original location, this fire dept has the sad claim of the 1st death of an on-duty fireman. He lost his life while on a run, when a tree feel on the truck he was in and killed him.
