Geocache Description:

Small pill bottle.  BYOP

Smoot Cemetery is one of many abandoned and neglected cemeteries in Cooke County.  The oldest marked grave is that of infant James Adair, who died in 1860.  There are many unmarked burials here, as well as lots of stones with no information.  Most of the marked graves are to the right of the entrance, while to the left you will find stones, random iris patches, and other signs of graves.

This is a definite bushwhacking adventure.  The cemetery is very overgrown with all kinds of briars, weeds, poisonous plants and saplings.  Long pants and long sleeves are suggested, as well as chigger repellant in the summer.  Be prepared!  This cache may not be easy to get to!

The cache is a small pill bottle.  FTF prize is bragging rights.  BYOP.  And bring a camera!

GPS reception can be erratic.  Good luck!
