"This cache is for the person who enjoys getting out in the woods
and going where none has gone before. Boots, long pants, long
sleeves, insect repellant, and a strong sense of determination
required." This was the original description by Snoburd &
Kittie, original placers of the cache but lots have changed here
since it was placed. A bulldozer has blazed a trail all the way
around the lake making your path to the cache much easier than it
was when it was placed way back in 2001.
This cache may be easier to reach by boat (.3 Vs .7 miles) and you
can rent a boat there for $5.00. But the cache was placed by land
and the trail is very nice around the lake. You can expect poison
ivy, mud, and insects and by the way, beware of snakes. Davy
Crockett didn’t let any of these things bother him, why
should you? Cache container was replaced on 12/15/05 with a large
ammo box filled with lots of swag.
