Each year in January, the Maritime Geocaching Association holds a Winter Placement Challenge, where winter
friendly caches are put out by cachers in each of the four
Atlantic Provinces.
At stake?
Bragging rights.
Two years ago, NB took the crown, last year it was NS's turn to
crow! We want the title back in this year's challenge! Plus as a
side benefit, we get to find lots of new caches.
What is a cacher's pot luck? Well, it works alot like a regular
pot luck, except instead of food, we'll just bring food containers!
Hopefully, just like a regular potluck where there is WAY too much
to eat, we'll end up with WAY too many caches!
Bring with you any of the supplies that we have laying around
the house, (containers, logbooks, camo stuff, swag). We will put
stuff together to make up as many caches as we can. Attendees can
then take as many caches as they think they will be able to place
for the challenge. I'll bring some finger foods.
Perhaps in your logs you could let me know what you are
bringing, and I'll try to fill in any gaps.
Here are the rules for the MGA Placement Challenge
1) All caches Winter friendly
2) No micros for this contest.
3) Caches to be posted on Fri. Feb 2 This contest will be open
to any cachers in the 4 provinces as long as they follow the above
3 rules.
You can start hiding them now. Submit them between Jan. 15th
& Jan 31th. Make sure you state in the title of your cache Feb
2th - you should also state this in the reviewer's note.
For the title on your cache page.... "--Feb 2-- My cache
name"
once reviewed, if it's OK it will be like this... "**Feb 2** My
cache name"
if there is a problem, it will look like this... "??Feb 2?? My
cache name"
