Dewi, the eye-catching 16ft long, 11ft high and 10ft wide metal dragon took 732 hours to be crafted and comprises 2,500 different sized scales welded on to a frame. The scales, cut from 78 square metres of sheet metal, have been polished and given 12 coats of lacquer. Dewi's creator is metal artist Tony "Fred" Peacock, who was assisted by Ashley Bissell. The cache has a white lid and contains items and photographs pertaining to the local area, as well as a log book and pencil. Placed here with manager's permission and non resident visitors can access the cache location without any interaction from site staff, however please bear in mind that I am not in the office and site staff have no involvement with the cache. Please do not visit the office with geocache business! Also please be aware staff may be working in the area and there may be mowers, strimmers etc.
