At the end of Lang Road in Windsor. Mostly level, well traveled roads and well marked trails.
Northwest Park is a 473-acre multi-activety recreational park. Over 8 miles of maintained, marked trails.There are open fields, softwood forest, wetlands,ridge trails along the Farmington River/Rainbow Reservoir, a rope-guilded braille trail, pond and a DAM.At the park you can bike [on the roads only],crosscountry ski plus ski rental,warming hut,maple surgar house,animal barn,picnic pavilion and tobacco museum. Cache container is a small lock and lock. From parking area, its about 1.0 mile to cache as crows fly. About .54 miles from cache you can go 1 of 2 ways to reach the trailheads for the Rainbow Reservoir Trail, where the cache is a little way off this trail.You can get a trails map in front of the nature center. Either go right to see DAM, or go straight and make the loop to see dam and a wading spot and picnic tables.
