I have placed this geocache in honor of my family members, and all veterans! It was right about here when I first saw this flag. I was in the car with my mom heading north to Wichita when I saw a flag on someone's car. I asked what the meaning of the flag and this was her reply, "That means that that person had a immediate family member die in combat". Well, I then googled it and found out she was half right. This flag (shown above) meant that you have a immediate family member who is/did serve in the armed forces during a time of conflict. They did not fall I should say. My dad wasn't in very long and he was given a honorable discharge due to serious medical issues. My dad came home a month before my second birthday. My whole family said that my first sentence was actually, "Daddy Home Airpane" I hadn't mastered the talking thing just yet. My Uncle Jeremy(Jerm) served in the Navy for four years. He saw combat. Not war combat but still. My Unlce Bobby at the day I placed this is/was in the army reserves. He never/hasn't saw/seen combat either thank God! He is, none the less, in the armed forces during conflict. To those who HAVE lost a family member in the armed forces during combat they would get this flag. I have not seen anyone with this flag. If you do see someone with this flag you might just want to hug them. This flag means that they had an immediate family member that died during combat. So, to those who have someone serving in the military, we appreciate you and your family member. Alot of us couldn't stand seeing a loved one leave. This is a specially painted magnetic key holder. Please DO NOT STEAL THIS!!! Please place it back where you found it. This paint isn't waterproof, so please put it how I originally had it out of the rain. Have fun!!!!! Respect those who serve!!! BYOP. There's a printable page if you want one. Located just under the cache name, difficulty, and terrain rating. And email me if theres any problems!!!!!!
This is for my Dad, my Uncle Jerm, and my Uncle Bobby
