Geocache Description:

WARNING
  • Not recommended from mid May to mid November
  • Wear clothes that you do not mind getting muddy
  • Wear waterproof boots

Idioms are my go-to when coming up with names for caches. Not surprisingly, Shakespeare either coined or popularized a number of idioms that I have borrowed for the night cache series in RINEY-B Park.

The phrase foul play was coined by Shakespeare to refer to unfair behavior in Love's Labours Lost.

Honest plain words best pierce the ear of grief;
And by these badges understand the king.
For your fair sakes have we neglected time,
Play'd foul play with our oaths.

- Biron

CACHE

This night cache is in the front of the park and relies heavily on UV with mostly orange fire tacks and trail markers. The trail is broken up into two sections.

SECTION 1

At the end of the first section, you will find two numbers in fire tacks. The top number X refers to the distance to the second trail, which is X33 feet from that location. The bottom number Y refers to the bearing to that location, Y5 degrees. Project the waypoint to find the start of the second leg of the trail.

SECTION 2

After a short walk to the next section, the orange fire tacks should take you to the destination where you will find the cache. Watch out for the downed wire fence that you cross several times.

Although better with a UV light, you may do this without a UV light if you wish but it will be much harder to locate the orange fire tacks. I would strongly encourage a UV light of else the difficulty goes increases.

Please be aware that the park is bounded by railroad tracks on the east side of the park. The trail will NOT lead across the tracks so look elsewhere and stay safe.
