Geocache Description:

On February 3, 1780 a skirmish took place here in the cause of American Freedom. This memorial marks where the remains who fell in the Battle of Young's Four Corners are interred.

NOTE - CACHE IS IN PLAIN SIGHT. DO NOT DIG, MOVE ROCKS OR OTHERWISE DISRESPECT / DAMAGE THE AREA.

Safety Note - At the cache there is no need the search close to the road. I also strongly suggest getting 2 wheels well in the grass when parking. Use extreme caution when leaving the cache. Lots of traffic buzzing by!

For more information on the battle fought here please visit: http://www.myrevolutionarywar.com/battles/1780s.htm The battle now is little remembered, but we should still honor those that fell in the fight for US Freedom. By placing this cache here I hope instead of just driving by we might stop and recall those days and the sacrifices made so long ago.

cache is a micro - please bring a pen!.
