Geocache Description:

Oak Grove Cemetery. Parking is near the given coordinates. In addition to looking for some of the inhabitants of this serene place, you will be looking for a soldier carrying a rifle, a four legged animal with antlers and a symbol of a virtue standing on a headstone. There 10 parts in total. You have to answer 8 out of 10 correctly to get credit for this one.

The 4 corners of isosceles trapezoid ABCD are (N42 25.704,W 71 08.222), (N42 26.014 , W71 08.086 ), ( N42 25.913 , W71 07.998 ), ( N42 25.747, W71 08.070 ) respectively. The length of the longest base is 604 meters, the parallel base is 324 meters and the non-parallel sides are both 222 meters.

1) Make a note of the monument at the parking coordinates.

2)Starting at point A you should find a headstone with the first names of Philip ( 1927-1959 ) and Thomas (1895-1972).

3)Now moving in the direction of point B on a heading of 19.33 degrees, when you are 280 meters from B, you should find the Crooker headstone.

4)Then you should continue to point B where you should see the Lovering headstone.

5) Now, looking in a westerly direction, about 115 ft away, there is a very tall and old headstone.

6)Proceeding from point B to point C along a heading of 148.5 degrees you cannot miss the symbol of a virtue standing on top of one of the Jacobs’ headstones about ½ way to point C.

7)Moving towards point C roughly another 100 meters you should see the animal with the antlers.

8) When you get near point C, you will see two large headstones with the same family name.

9) Next, you should go back to B and move directly due south towards D along one of the trapezoids’ diagonal and you will come to the soldier carrying the rifle.

10) It also turns out my grandparents , Charles and Angela Mobilia are on this same diagonal just 165 meters from point D.
