Colt State Park is a beautiful park located in Bristol, Rhode Island. It currently has 464 acres of lawn, lots of hiking trails and spectacular views of the water. This wonderful spot seems like a great place to wrap up summer caching and begin to welcome fall caching which will be coming in the weeks after this event ends.
We will be meeting at a small picnic area in the relative middle of the park. This will ensure easy access to different areas of the park so you can mingle, find a few caches, and then return and mingle some more if you choose. This will be the same meeting area as the last three years, and since it worked well those times, it will be used once again.
Four hours was plenty last year for the event, although time did fly by! So once again, event will be held for four hours on Saturday, August 26th from 12 P.M. until 4 P.M. (at least). Come and stay for the whole time or just a few minutes.
Bring a picnic lunch if you choose to as well as anything else you may need for your geocaching afternoon. There are plenty of caches in this park to find, and more will be released for the event. We hope to see you there and you have a great time!
