Geocache Description:

This cache is on one of the rural roads of Calhoun County. Enjoy the less traveled roads and see some unusual, interesting and historic places.

The cache has been placed at the West Panther Creek Waterfalls.

This beautiful waterfalls was once the site of a gristmill. The mill sat over by where the present owners barn stands, next to the creek. The frontier people would travel mostly by boat up or down the river with their grain, and come right up the creek to the mill.

This spot was also a spiritual site for Native Americans before the pioneering people arrived. You may see various prayer ribbons in the tree branches along the creek. They are left by Native Americans who visit the site.

The container is a camo painted Bison Tube with only a log sheet.

Bring a writing instrument to sign the log – this is a small log sheet so sign with date and name only.

Bugs, Insects, Critters, Snakes or Poisonous Plants could be present. Search appropriately!

A dirt parking area to pull off of the road is available at this cache. Use some discretion when leaving the roadway if the ground is wet.
