Geocache Description:

30 March 2019, 11:00 - 12:00

name-2

Every time someone goes out geocaching, they are delighted to find any and all types of hides. But it’s the creative, unique and clever caches that everyone remembers fondly. Creative containers are part of that experience. They come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

This event will be an interactive gathering to display different types of creative, unique and clever cache containers in order to give all interested geocachers information on how to build, hide and launch these creations into the game.

Geocachers attending are encouraged to design and produce container(s) to display at this event.  The best spots to get your creative juices flowing are the following places: your local hardware store, a toy department, the dollar store, a sporting goods store, an online geocache supplies store, Pintrest, and YouTube. All it takes is a spark to ignite your creativity.

Whether you’re a veteran cache-hider or have never hidden one before, take advantage of this opportunity to see what you can create. And feel free to bring multiple containers, if you do so desire.

To make this CREATION CELEBRATION even more memorable, anyone who brings a creative cache container to the event will be invited to have their container be part of the, soon to be published, ‘Western ‘Creative Cache GeoTrail.’  Additional details will be provided at the event.

We will be meeting at the new Western New York Welcome Center on Grand Island, so it will also give you the opportunity to check out this amazing structure.  Whichever direction you are coming from, take Exit 19 (Whitehaven Rd.) off the I-190 then turn onto Alvin Rd.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
