Flowerpots and Marshmallows is a regular cache in the Venman National Park.
THENANKS decided to place this cache as a tribute to the travelling caching team "Liz and Bruce". We first met Liz and Bruce at the Winter G-Olympics in August of 2006, where we enjoyed the day and then together set off to find a tricky nearby cache.
After this we exchanged contact details and went our separate ways. In November we were contacted by Liz and Bruce as they were about to "hit" the Bayside caches and wanted some information about suitable caravan parks. We searched around and then with nothing suitable found we offered our yard. So shortly after that the van pulled up at our property and the human travel bugs were our new side neighbours!
So, for 6 wonderful weeks we had Liz and Bruce as part of our family. We shared cache hunting, dinners at home and with friends, BMX meets, Geocaching events, decorating the house and tree (and caravan), Carols night, trips around Moreton Bay, cuddles, Drive-In Movies, swims in the pool, Christmas day, silliness, get togethers with other cachers, lunches and water fights!
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and on Liz and Bruce's last day with us we placed this cache as a tribute to our dear new friends. It is also our 50th cache hide and we thought it appropriate for it to be a special one.
Liz and Bruce are lovely, friendly, gentle, honest and fun! They were an easy addition to our family for the 6 weeks and we know they will always be our friends. They were kind and loving to our children and for all of these qualities we hold them in high esteem.
Bruce often refers to his Lizzy as "Flowerpots" and we named Bruce "Marshmallows" because he's a big softy that is always around in fun times.
Liz and Bruce, we'll miss you!
