Geocache Description:

Outback Oasis cache is one of over 30 caches on the Outback Way-finder Trail - the longest Geocache trail in the world.

G'day Geocachers,
Outback Oasis cache is located on Curtin Springs, a working cattle station of 416,000 hectares managed by members of the Serverin family for over 50 years. The challenges of outback settlement in 'The Territory' are legendary, but for Peter and Dawn Severin they were very real - drought, fires, salty bores, distance to supplies, maintaining utilities and loneliness to mention a few. Life wasn't ment to be easy on Curtin Springs!
Today Curtin Springs is a hub of outback hospitality welcoming dozens of coaches and other travelers daily. Facilities include fuel, bar, meals, store, a range of accommodation, a camping site, but most of all - a friendly welcome.

Activity: Learn about life on an outback pastoral station, scan the night sky in a bush camp and explore/climb Mt Conner with Ian Barker on one of his many tours. Meet the Severin clan at the homestead.
