Geocache Description:


Found in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Belknap Hot Springs sits along the pristine banks of the McKenzie River. Belknap’s natural mineral springs soar to temperatures up to 195 degrees Fahrenheit, emitting 60 gallons of water per minute. The water is heated in a subsurface lava bed. Iron, calcium, lithium, and potassium chloride can all be found in the spring’s water. The Belknap Hot Springs Resort is open 365 days of the year, treating guests to two mineral hot springs pools, and an intimate Secret Garden.
