Geocache Description:

Congratulation ted28285 on reaching your 1000th find milestone.

Your friends and fellow cachers from JAGA would like to take this small area of the world to pay tribute to the many adventures that you have had in the journey to this milestone. You have been many places, and you has seen many things. You have met many people, and have had to perform some dangerous feats.

In a very short period of time, you have become a good friend and respected cacher in this area. We understand that this particular area has some meaning for you. Since your favorite caches are good hikes and your favorite places are areas with large vistas and impressive views, we chose a special place for your cache.

We salute you Terry! This cache is for you! We hope you enjoy!

Depending on the time of the year and whether the gates are open you may be able to park just under a mile from the cache location at the included waypoint coordinates. If the gates are closed, this becomes a 4-mile hike along the SGL 166 access road, Beaver Dam Road Exd. with just over one mile of off-road hiking up the side of the ridge. DO NOT try to approach from the trail along the high-tension, power lines; the land along the Brush Mountain is Posted Private Property. This cache may be accessed only via the State Game Lands road.

The cache itself will be found under some rocks at the base of a lonely pine tree. Be sure to enjoy the view! Good Luck, and let me know how you do!

As with any arduous trek, please plan ahead before attempting this cache. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for rough terrain, climbing, and the weather, and don't forget to bring some water. This can be a significant hike and challenging adventure; you will be exerting some energy. Do not attempt this if you are not in good physical health. This find may involves traversing steep, rocky and uneven ground. Please be wary of snakes at all times. Always let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. I highly recommend doing this with a partner or group (for safety, but mostly to share the experience).

Blaze Orange is required during hunting season; this cache is located within State Game Lands and may be heavily hunted during the primary hunting seasons. It is highly encouraged that this cache is NOT sought during the primary hunting seasons. Respect hunters and come back during the off-season or on Sundays.

Provided are suggested parking coordinates. Please do not take motorized vehicles past the designated permitted areas.

Again, please be appropriately prepared and be careful. Please remember to enjoy the natural world and be careful not to damage it. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. As always, cache-in, trash-out!

Thank you sweavers and RESTseekers for accompanying me on this hide, sorry for nearly getting you stuck on the mountain! A very special thank you to RESTseekers for the excellent, and very pretty ammo can!

Congratulations to ted28285: First to Find!

Congratulations to carels & geosleuth: Second to Find!
