The cache is located in the north eastern corner of the country park. The park which covers about 140 acres, was opened in 1990. At its centre is a lake held back by a dam which helps to prevent Scalford Brook from flooding Melton. The park provides playgrounds, sports fields, picnic areas, a baby loss memorial garden, I-Play unit , signposted walks for health, footpaths, and cycle tracks. Other facilities include a visitor centre and café, a bird hide, and ample car parking.
