Biker64: Put a fork in it, it's done!!! Thanks to all that came out and made it a fun event. I hope we got some people to see a great set of falls and find a couple caches they might not have done otherwise. See you all on the trail. A Mountain Lover

Geocache Description:

Let's Go Take A Picture

This event is a meet and greet, the purpose of the event is to hang around in the parking lot near the trailhead and enjoy a whole bunch of geo-chat!

Date: April 29 2017  1:00-1:45

We will be hanging out from 1:00 to 1:45 at the parking lot and will have some door prizes at about 1:40.  Bring your lawn chairs, snacks, tradables, and trackables and get to know some new trailmates.

I hope that this event will give people a opportunity to see this gem of a waterfall without having to worry about the safety of trekking in and out alone.  The hike into the waterfall is about .8 miles and I would call the terrain about 2.5.  Most of the trail is smooth with a slight grade and some tree roots mixed in. With a large group we should be able to assist anyone up and down the 2 short bad sections.

Remember the actual event is at the parking lot from 1:00 to 1:45, the hike into the falls is optional and after the event ends.

There is parking for about 20 cars or so at the event site, about halfway back along the drive is a DNR building where cars could be parked and car pool in.  There also is some parking out at the road and a trail back to the site, but I have never hiked it.

This is a beautiful hike and falls that I never would have known about if it was not for geocaching and I just want to share it with others.

Hope to see you all there!
