Geocache Description:

This is my hometown, the town that molded my youth and part of my adult life. I no longer live here but I do occasionally travel through

This cemetery was established in 1867 and contains a very unusual marker.  It is a very small marker with a hand on top. Legend has it, if you place your hand on top of this marker your wrist will break. As a teen I thought that's just a legend so I put my hand on it. A few years later I broke my wrist in a car accident. Coincidence? You decide. If any finder has any info on the hand it would be interesting to note it in your log.

Update 8/7/2018: Thanks to etsi535 for finding some more information on this unusual marker. According to a diary kept by Mr. Cyrus Knoll, in an entry dated June 4, 1884, he writes that Monroe Kelchner lost his hand in a fodder cutter and that the hand was buried here in Fleetwood Cemetery. And now my friends, you know the rest of the story. Cyrus Knoll's diary is on display at the Fleetwood Historical Society located at 100 West Arch Street for anyone who might like to see it.

Please be respectful of the area, BYOP and no night caching.
