If you are Particpanting in the Poker Run:
This year's Poker Run will start at San Luis Park. The coordinates for San Louis Park are N 30° 27.580 W 084° 19.292 . There will be doughnuts, hot coffee and maybe some hot chocolate. Participants will pick up the poker run instructions which will be available from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. The Poker Run is not a timed event, so participants will be able to take their time and possibly find some other local caches.

(Only one poker hand may be played per Geocaching ID and only one ID will be allowed per person.)
The feedback from last year's event was to raise the bar in creating interesting gadget caches to mix in with the traditional caches. The poker run will consist of ten caches placed around Tallahassee. There will be hiking, riding and adventure for all who are up for the challenge. You can work this as a group, but prizes will be awarded on an individual basis. The event will go on rain or shine and end at 8:00pm.
We will meet at Beefs at 1208 Capital Cir SE and Apalachee Parkway at 6:00 pm for an evening meal and the reveal of the winning poker hands. Participants will have time to select the best five of seven cards and post their hand. The top three hands will be awarded prizes.
Please post your WILL ATTEND and the number of people in your group so that we may let the restaurant know how many to prepare for.
If you are doing the poker run: You will need to be make it to Beefs by 6:30 to have your hand processed.
As usual, please re-hide all containers as you found them. The cache container should not be visible to passers by. Please latch any ammo cans tight before re-hiding.
Some of the caches are in wooded areas and mosquitoes may be out. If it is warm you may want to spray down before going out on the trails. Also watch out for snakes, spiders, ants, poison ivy as well as thorny vines and bushes. You may want to wear long pants and hiking boots. You will need to bring a pen or pencil to sign the log with.
